That ending where Cocytus shows his respect for Brain by preserving his body in ice and then go around his corpse surprised me, you can really feel his individuality come out there as he knows he would be a great asset to Ainz but wants to respect his warrior spirit, it was kind of moving to watch that pan out. Brain really went all out though, it is unfortunate he couldn't get a hit in.

Lakyus' party was such a surprise though lol, the way they all attacked her in order to take her out of the capital, I was so confused by what was happening. Renner wielding Gazef's sword was also an unexpected moment, she looked really comfortable with it which before this episode I wouldn't have thought to imagine. Climb was so taken aback lol.

I thought it was funny they gave Aura's monsters personality.

the Brain Unglaus u see here when he fought cocytus has already surpassed Gazef. Those "Greater Ability Boost" can usually only be casted once u reached a certain treshold of level and Gazef never reached that.

In the novel it said something about the limit of skills a fighter can use do to it taking so much focus like a mana bar for spell casters. however in either case if clementine (the assassin girl) fought the brain that is using his super focus 5 skill at once like what he use here, clementine will easily lose. because by her calculation brain can only hold against her and not winning even when he was at level 30(simply put 10 level gap doesnt mean much. anyone at 10 level gap can kill the other either with assistance, luck, or brain usage). now that he is level 40. he is already at the realm of heroes in new world standard. there is only less than 20 beings in new world that had level over 40. not to mention using 5 skills at once is extremely impressive for warriors class as according to maruyama there is even some veteran warriors in yggdrasil having level 100 but still cant use 5 skills simultaneously. thats not amazing? its beyond amazing. level gap is what makes him looks weak. if he is level 80++ he can easily hold against Platinum dragon lord and even nazarick npc from yggdrasil.

they really disrespected the man the feet that he achieved in that fight was nothing less of a "impossible" for a human in the new world he stacked 5 skills on top of each other a feel that should not be achievable but he did it. he was no mere human he steped in the realm of hearos and yes he was far surpassed gaziff.
and Cocytus gave him a estimated level 40.

idk you need to remember hamuske is not one of the NPCs so she has been training with the death knight to get stronger and it is unknown to where she got from that point adding to that brain level 40 assessment was drown from that one strike and that is not something that he can do often it was even noted that Cocyuts suspected that there was nothing in his other that one attack so a fight between brain and hamusuke in an interesting idea but with unknown result

lvl 40 is still low, i dont see how they did him dirty. but yea.. they did not explain how great he actually was, would have been a cool detail.

gazef was about level 33, the warrior king was 35. Going past 30 at all is incredibly rare in that world even among the few that have a level cap that high in the first place. Him reaching 40 is legit impressive.
the floor guardians were created at level 100. Even if it doesn't compare, the merit is there.

yeah it is low in the tomb standards but for the new world it is high.
and it is not only his level the skill staking he ascended to the realm of hearos a feel very few have achieved.
yes they only traded one swing but that is no simple swing of a sword for him he would have died either way for that swing to achieve a the a swing that could give him a chance for his opponent.
it is very similar to how it was with Ainz and Gaziff , it was a mater of a touch for Ainz but the respect he gave is what make it a fight instead of just swatting a fly.
brain received a lot of character development throw out the series and the build up translated in this one swing in the LN but in the anime it was just a swing in the anime that got respected by a level 100 NPC witch says more about the guardian than brain
